The day

Attendance, daily care and activities

What educators do with the children, recorded as it happens, from a phone.

Attendance and check-in

A roll call per classroom: check children in and out with a tap, and know at any moment who is here, who is expected and who is absent.

The problem

Paper registers are filled in by hand, totalled at night, and cannot tell you who has not arrived yet or who is allowed to collect a child.

How it works

  • Tap to check a child in, or check in the whole classroom at once.
  • At check-out, choose from the people authorized to collect the child.
  • Record absences with a reason; late arrivals and early departures are flagged automatically.
  • Closure days and holidays are taken into account.
  • Staff check themselves in and out; managers correct past days, with the history kept.
  • Export any period to CSV or Excel.

Daily care

Meals, naps, diapers, care and observations for each child, recorded in seconds and gathered into a daily report.

Care notes are scattered across notebooks and whiteboards, and the afternoon team or the family never hears what happened in the morning.

Activities and weekly programme

Plan each classroom's week, print it as the weekly programme, and keep notes, participants and photos for each activity.

The problem

Weekly plans live on printed sheets, and activity photos end up in personal phones and chat groups without any consent check.

How it works

Critical information such as allergies or who may collect a child sits in a paper file that nobody consults at the right moment.

Siblings are entered twice, contact details go out of date, and custody situations are known only to the director.

Admissions and online pre-registration

The problem

Enquiries arrive by phone, in person and on social media, and the waiting list is a notebook that only one person can read.

How it works

  • Each nursery gets its own pre-registration page with its logo, and a printable QR code card.
  • Families apply from their phone; they receive a confirmation email and you receive an alert.
  • Follow each application through a pipeline, with the waiting-list order and duplicate detection.
  • Convert an accepted application into family, child and enrolment in one step.
  • Share a private link that you can revoke at any time.

Classrooms and age sections

Age sections, classrooms with their capacity and occupancy, assigned staff, and moves between classrooms.

Knowing how many places are left in each group means counting names on several lists.

Roles, import and export, settings

The foundation: who sees what, how your data gets in and out, and how the app adapts to your nursery.

Questions about features

Is there a mobile app?

Clever Nursery is a web app that works on any phone, tablet or computer, with a layout designed for phones in the classroom. You can add it to your phone's home screen. There is no separate app to download from an app store.

Can multiple staff members use Clever Nursery?

Yes. You invite your team by email or with a shareable link and give each person a role: director, administrator, educator or accountant. Everyone works in the same nursery at the same time, and each role only sees what it needs.

Can I import my existing data?

Yes. You can import children, families, staff, classrooms and more from CSV (all plans) or Excel (paid plans), with column mapping in three languages, a preview, duplicate detection and the option to undo an import.

Can I export my data?

Yes. Every list can be exported (CSV on all plans, Excel on paid plans), and the director can download a full backup of the nursery as a ZIP file at any time.

Does Clever Nursery support Arabic?

Yes. The whole app is available in Arabic with a proper right-to-left layout, as well as in French and English. Each person can use the language they prefer.

Do parents have access, and do they pay?

Parents are always free and never count toward your plan. Today your team records the information families need, such as daily care entries shared with the family. A dedicated parent portal, where parents see their own children's day, is planned.

Can Clever Nursery bill families?

Family billing (invoices, payments with numbered receipts, balances and reminders) and expense tracking are in development and not available yet. Clever Nursery's other modules, such as attendance, daily care, children's records, admissions and staff, are available today.
